Turkey beat Chile with Altintop strike (Reuters)
Halil Altintop fired Turkey to
a 1-0 victory over Chile in a friendly on Wednesday, boosting
the confidence of the Euro 2008 semi-finalists for next month's
start to their 2010 World Cup qualifying campaign.
The home side created a series of chances in the first half,
with Semih Senturk, Tuncay Sanli and Mehmet Aurelio all firing
shots over the crossbar.
